This is definitely my favorite photo of the set so it had to be uploaded. I love this to no tomorrows.

Thinking about this is such a bittersweet moment, but I have decided to retire Kurama. (I had planned on wearing him for one final photoshoot idea, but I don't know when that'd happen. I had also planned for his school uniform version but I doubt that will happen any time soon with my other cosplay plans xD Since I have so many plans, I'd rather give the new ones a chance to be re-worn.)

Kurama is my first cosplay and definitely one of my favorites. Yu Yu Hakusho is such a childhood memory for me and I love the show to pieces. I intentionally chose the title and lyrics from Kurama's image song, "Sayonara wa Mirai no Hajimari." To me it really fits because it's like the transition from my childhood to adulthood, among other things.

I remember feeling super depressed when Yu Yu Hakusho ended and I almost refused to watch the last season because I didn't want it to end xD But such is life. Even the idea of retiring him is emotional for me. OTL

I don't want to get TOO sentimental here, I'm really glad and grateful to work with some fantastic people for this photoshoot.

ahh i love your expression & posing xD
i was looking for this series online to watch just a couple days ago but i cannot find it in Japanese anywhere! apparently it is super hard to find :( i recently just finished Yoshihiro Togashi's other series Hunter x Hunter so now I wanna watch Yu Yu Hakusho :la:

IT IS SUPER HARD TO FIND. The dub is pretty good though, so you could always watch the dub. Gahh I wish I remembered what torrent I downloaded for YYH, because I did end up downloading the dual audio without knowing it so I was able to change back and forth from English to Japanese with the VLC player.
Ohh I heart Hunter x Hunter was really good but I have yet to watch it xD
